General Ledger (G/L) Accounting Associate (#Nov4-02)
JOB PROFILE

Position Summary: The G/L Accounting Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, with a focus on general ledger and inventory-related transactions. This role involves handling daily accounting tasks, assisting with month-end and year-end closings, and supporting inventory reconciliation processes. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate reporting of inventory movements, investigate variances, and uphold strong internal controls. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to managing financial records in a dynamic setting.

 

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger, including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, particularly in areas related to inventory and related accounts
  • Reconcile inventory accounts regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies with warehouse and operations staff
  • Track inventory movements and ensure accurate financial reporting in coordination with warehouse operations
  • Prepare reports and summaries for inventory valuation, adjustments, and shrinkage analysis
  • Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations of inventory and G/L account details
  • Collaborate with team members to support process improvements for inventory and financial reporting
REQUIREMENT:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting, with exposure to inventory and G/L tasks
  • Basic understanding of GAAP principles and inventory management
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP or accounting software
  • Strong organizational skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
SALARY
$ 23.00 up /hour DOE
